Fair & Square Automotive Group ("we," "us," or "our") operates this website for drivers in Islip Terrace and across Long Island. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Information we collect

Most of the information we collect is information you choose to give us. When you fill out a form on this site — financing pre-qualification, a test-drive request, a trade-in estimate, a referral, or a general contact message — you may provide your name, phone number, email address, and details about the vehicle or service you're interested in. We don't ask for your Social Security number to start a financing inquiry, and we don't require you to create an account to use the site.

We also automatically receive limited technical data when you visit. Our host (Vercel) and our anti-spam check (Cloudflare Turnstile) may receive standard request information such as your IP address and basic browser/device details. When you submit a form, your IP address is shared with Cloudflare to confirm you're a real person and not a bot. This is ordinary website operation, not advertising tracking.

This site is intended for adults shopping for a vehicle. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child under 13 has submitted information to us may contact us and we'll delete it.

How we use your information

We use the details you submit for one purpose: to respond to you. That means calling or texting you back about a car, working up a financing or trade-in number, scheduling a test drive, or answering a question. If you reach out about a specific vehicle, we may use what you told us to suggest similar cars in our inventory.

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your contact details go to our sales desk and stay with our team. We don't share them with marketers or data brokers.

Calls and text messages

When you give us your phone number, you agree we may contact you by phone call and text message — including by automated means — about your inquiry, a vehicle, financing, and your appointment. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of buying a vehicle or obtaining financing. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text, or by calling, texting, or emailing us to be removed. We do not sell your phone number or share your mobile information with third parties for their own marketing. See our SMS Terms for details.

If someone refers you

Our referral program lets customers share a friend's name and phone number so we can reach out. If someone refers you, we may receive your name and phone number to contact you about Fair & Square. We use it only for that purpose, never sell it, and will delete it on request from either you or the person who referred you. We ask everyone who refers a friend to confirm they have that friend's permission first.

Financing privacy notice (Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act)

Because we help arrange vehicle financing, federal law treats us as a financial institution and requires us to tell you how we handle your nonpublic personal financial information.

• What we collect: through this website you give us only your name, contact details, and the vehicle or financing you're interested in. We do not collect Social Security numbers or sensitive financial details through the website. When you choose to complete a full financing application with us — by phone, in person, or through our lender's secure portal — a lender then collects the financial information needed for a credit decision.
• What we share, and with whom: to get you a financing decision, we share your application information with the banks and lenders we work with, solely to process the financing you asked us to arrange. We do not disclose this information to nonaffiliated third parties for their own marketing, and we do not sell it.
• How we protect it: we use reasonable safeguards, transmit your information over encrypted (HTTPS) connections, limit who can see it, and choose service providers we expect to keep it confidential. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure.

Service providers we rely on

Like most small businesses, we use a few trusted third-party services to run the website and handle form submissions. These providers process limited information only to perform their job for us:

• FormSubmit — delivers the contents of our website forms to our email inbox so we receive your message; it also receives standard request data such as your IP address as part of the submission.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — a privacy-focused, cookieless tool that helps confirm form submissions come from real people and not spam bots. To do this, it receives your IP address and basic browser information when you submit a form.
• Vercel — hosts this website, serves its pages, and provides cookieless visitor analytics; it receives standard request data such as your IP address.
• Google Maps — powers the map and directions to our lot at 46 Carleton Ave. Loading the embedded map causes your browser to contact Google, which may receive your IP address and set its own cookies.
• DealerCenter image CDN — serves our vehicle photos. Loading our listing images causes your browser to contact that image server, which may receive standard request data such as your IP address and browser type.
• CARFAX — provides the free vehicle history report linked on each listing. When you click a "Free Carfax" link you leave our site for carfax.com, and Carfax's own privacy policy then applies.

Each of these companies has its own privacy practices governing the data it handles. We choose providers that take privacy seriously, but we don't control their policies.

Cookies and analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand which pages visitors find useful — for example, how many people view our inventory versus our financing page. This analytics is cookieless and does not track you across other websites or build an advertising profile of you. It helps us improve the site, nothing more.

We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site. Some of the embedded services above (such as Google Maps) may set their own cookies when their content loads; you can control cookies through your browser settings.

Your choices

You're always in control of your own information. You can:

• Choose not to fill out a form — you're welcome to browse our inventory without sharing anything.
• Ask us to stop contacting you at any time by calling, texting, or emailing us, and we'll honor it.
• Request that we delete the contact information you've shared with us.
• Adjust your browser settings to limit or block cookies from embedded services.

How we protect your information

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information we hold, and our website is served entirely over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but we work to keep your information protected. If a breach of your private information were to occur, we will notify affected individuals as required by New York law (the SHIELD Act, General Business Law §899-aa).

Data retention

We keep the information you submit only as long as we need it to help you and to keep ordinary business records of our conversations and transactions. When it's no longer needed, we dispose of it. To make a privacy request — to access, correct, or delete the information you've shared — call, text, or email us using the details below. We respond within a reasonable period (generally within 30 days) and may verify your identity before deleting information.

Changes to this policy
